ASC has a range of support groups tailored to the unique identities of our community members.

The Autism Society of Colorado's online peer support group is a welcoming space for individuals on the autism spectrum, their families and partners, friends, coworkers, and caregivers to connect, share experiences, and find support. Through virtual meetings, participants can engage in open discussions, exchange advice, and build a sense of community with others who understand their journey. We recognize that connections can happen both online and in person, and while our groups are virtual, some participants may choose to continue connections outside of ASC peer groups in ways that feel safe and comfortable for them. Moderated by peer-led facilitators, our groups are designed to be inclusive, respectful, and supportive– where participants are encouraged to explore challenges, communicate together, celebrate successes, and share helpful resources in a space that prioritizes understanding and accessibility.

The Autism Society of Colorado reserves the right to deny admission to and/or ask participants to leave a group meeting per the overall safety and concern of the groups. We do understand that some individuals on the spectrum may find it challenging to understand and follow the ASC Online Peer Groups Policy.  We are committed to working with our participants and community when problems may occur. If you have any questions about the policy, please contact program@autismcolorado.org.

Currently, our peer support groups cost $12 per meeting and is accessible for Colorado residents and surrounding state residents to attend peer groups. All participants must pay in order to attend support groups.

If your state does not have an Autism Society affiliate, please contact us here.

We understand financial accessibility might be a barrier for our community due hardship. Please email: groups@autismcolorado.org to request assistance. Please know we cannot guarantee that every participant will receive financial assistance.

By attending these support groups, ASC Online Peer Groups Policy will be shared and enforced, or disciplinary action will be taken to keep these support groups in a healthy and understanding environment. Participants are considered to have provided their consent to agree to the policies of the Autism Society of Colorado. â€‹

ASC online peer groups have created recommended guidelines as best practices when attending online groups to create a comfortable environment for all individuals. Please read and acknowledge the guidelines when participating in groups.
